Carol Kruchko, CBTRUS President and Administrator (1992-)
Ms. Kruchko is the founding President of the CBTRUS. She provides the direction, policy, and management services for the CBTRUS. She oversees the production of the CBTRUS Statistical Reports. Ms. Kruchko serves on the American College of Surgeons, Disease Site Team for Brain and Central Nervous System Tumors and the Program Committee of the Brain Tumor Epidemiology Consortium. She has co-authored several articles on brain tumor registration and organized two consensus conferences on cancer registration of brain tumors.

Jeri Dolan, R.N., Executive Administrator (2003-)
Jeri Dolan joined CBTRUS in November 2003 replacing Ms. Marsha Rubin in the CBTRUS administrative office. She received her nursing degree from Harper College. She has worked in the Coronary Care Unit at MacNeal Hospital in Berwyn, in Medical/Surgical ICU at Columbus Hospital in Chicago, Illinois, and the Cardiac Cath Lab/Pacemaker Program at St. Mary of Nazareth Hospital, also in Chicago before retiring to raise a family. Prior to joining CBTRUS, Mrs. Dolan had volunteered in the Media Resource Center of The Lane School in Hinsdale, Illinois for eleven years. Mrs. Dolan is responsible for the daily administrative tasks of CBTRUS. She disseminates its data to individuals and institutions and is also responsible for its general accounting activities.

Nancy E. Stroup, Ph.D., Consulting Research Director (2000-)
Dr. Stroup received a Master of Science in Public Health degree in Epidemiology from Harvard University in 1979 and a Ph.D. in Epidemiology from Yale University in 1983. From 1983-2000 she served as an epidemiologist at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). While at the CDC she worked in the Epidemic Intelligence Service and fielded assignments in the areas of cancer epidemiology, public heath surveillance, program development, and teaching. She was assigned to the Georgia Division of Public Health as the first state chronic disease epidemiologist in 1993-1998, where she was instrumental in the development of a Georgia statewide cancer registry. She has co-authored papers in a variety of areas including chronic disease epidemiology and cancer surveillance.

Bridget J. McCarthy, Ph.D., Principal Investigator (2001-),
Project Coordinator (1997-2000)

Dr. McCarthy received a Master of Science degree in Genetics in 1990 and a Ph.D. in Chronic Disease Epidemiology in 1996 from the University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Public Health. She has over ten years of laboratory experience with molecular genetic techniques, over fifteen years of experience with data collection and analysis in the field of epidemiology, and has authored or co-authored many papers and presentations in the field of cancer epidemiology, especially brain tumor epidemiology. Dr. McCarthy assists with data analyses for and preparation of statistical reports, manuscripts, presentations, and requests for data, as well as writing reports and grants.

Therese A. Dolecek, Ph.D., Senior Research Associate (2008-)
Dr. Dolecek joined CBTRUS in August 2008 bringing cancer surveillance expertise from more than 7 years of employment as the senior cancer epidemiologist with the population-based, Illinois State Cancer Registry. She received a Ph.D. in Public Health Science (1986) with emphasis in Chronic Disease and Nutrition Epidemiology from the School of Public Health, University of Illinois at Chicago. Dr. Dolecek assists Dr. McCarthy with operational responsibilities associated with the coordination of data acquisition, development and management of registry data sets, statistical programming and data analyses. She is also involved in data interpretation and dissemination through the production of statistical reports and scholarly publications, presentations, responses to data requests, and grant applications for the scientific utilization of the registry data sets and funding purposes.

Jennifer Propp, M.S., Consulting Research Specialist (2007-),
Research Specialist (2001-2007)

Jennifer Propp received her Master of Science degree with a concentration in Epidemiology from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 1997. As Research Specialist, Ms. Propp coordinated the data collection activities for the registry; maintained the data management and statistical programming systems; conducted data analyses for statistical reports, manuscripts, presentations, and requests for data; and assisted in the writing of reports, manuscripts, and grants. She currently assists with various projects, as needed.
