We are excited to announce the free-to-view publication of the 28th annual CBTRUS Statistical Report focused on all primary brain and other CNS tumors diagnosed in the United States. The creation of this report can be attributed to our Scientific Principle Investigator, Quinn T. Ostrom, and CBTRUS Scientific Research and Policy Coordinator, Mackenzie Price.

Based on data covering all newly diagnosed brain and other CNS tumors in the US from 2018-2022, CBTRUS reports that an estimated 107,100 new cases of malignant and non-malignant brain and other CNS tumors are expected to be diagnosed in the United States by the end of this year. The overall incidence rate was higher in females, individuals who were non-Hispanic Black, and older adults ages 40+ years. This report provides a comprehensive statistical assessment of the burden brain tumors pose and serves as a resource for researchers, clinicians, patients, families, and other advocates.
