CBTRUS serves as a resource for gathering and disseminating current epidemiological data on all primary brain tumors. CBTRUS data are available to assist in research projects that intend to describe incidence and survival patterns of brain tumor cases, to evaluate diagnosis and treatment, and to conduct etiologic studies.
The CBTRUS incidence database consists of epidemiological data on all brain tumors, malignant and non-malignant, consolidated from fifty-one population-based central cancer registries (CCR) from 2008-2019. These data include cases newly diagnosed between 2008 and 2016 with ICDO codes C70.0–C70.9, C71.0–C71.9, C72.0–C72.9, C75.1– C75.3, and C30.0 (9522-9523). In addition, CBTRUS will assist in accessing mortality, survival and treatment information using other databases.
Please Note: Due to our contract with the CDC, we are unable to share any data directly, or provide access to the dataset, with outside researchers. For general data by behavior, histopathology, sex, age, location, race, ethnicity, and US states please refer to the CBTRUS Annual Report found through a link on the Reports and Publications tab. If the Report does not provide the information needed, we are happy to work with investigators on their research questions. Please use the Contact form to provide the research question and proposal.
